Workflows & routing
Everything here lives on Production → Workflow. Custom stages Edit a pipeline's stages: rename, reorder, add, or remove the steps a case moves through. "Received" starts the pipeline and "Shipped" must exist (it triggers invoicing); stages after Shipped — like Delivered — are fine. A stage that still has cases in it can't be removed until they move on. Multiple pipelines Under Workflows — multiple pipelines: every lab starts with one pipeline named Main — Rename / edit it to match your lab (e.g. "Crown & Bridge") and click + New workflow to add more, like a Digital one (design → mill → …). Each case follows exactly one pipeline. The main pipeline is where new cases land when no routing rule matches; Make main promotes any other pipeline. Main can be renamed but never deleted, and a pipeline that still has cases can't be deleted — move them (case page → Pipeline) first. Cases board: switch pipelines with the selector under the toolbar — tabs with live in-flight counts (a dropdown once you run more than six). Your choice sticks per lab, and the URL carries it (/cases?workflow=…) so links open the right board. In list view, All pipelines shows everything with a Pipeline column; the board always shows one pipeline. Assignment rules Under Assignment rules: route new cases automatically by restoration type and/or material — to a technician, into a workflow, or both. Rules are checked in priority order (lowest number first) and the first match wins; leave both patterns blank for a catch-all. Example: "crown" + "zirconia" → Digital pipeline; "night guard" → Removables pipeline + assign to Maria. Workstations Workstations are the physical benches cases get scanned in and out of — add them under Workstations and map each to the stage it performs. See Scanning & workstations. Roles & permissions The Roles & permissions grid on the same page reshapes what each role can do in your lab (technician and the office roles; admin and manager stay fixed). Per-person tweaks live on Lab → Team.
